Indian Summer in Berlin, NH

It was in the mid 60s this afternoon so, after school I went for a walk at the Botanical Garden.

This is looking north towards Cates Hill. The church is our only surviving Catholic Church in town. The other three closed and they consolidated. This one used to be St. Anne's but they changed the name to Good Shepherd Parish.

The river is part of the Androscoggin.

More awesome skies can be seen at

I want to know where the Botanical Garden is? How have I been there for 3 years and missed it?

Pretty. What are they doing with the old churches? The one in my husband's home town of Jackman, Me was just taken down.

Hi KDPaine, I tried to find your blog but couldn't so I figured I'd answer here in case you check back.

The Botanical Garden is on Unity Street which is that new road they built along with the Cleveland Bridge. It connects Glen Ave. to the East Side. The Hydro Peninsula Park has three entrances. One is off of Glen Ave. in back of the water tower across from the IGA. Another is at the end of the Tondreau parking lot which is on Mason Street between the two bridges going to the East Side. The third entrance is about halfway up the downtown section of Main Street right across from Hallmark's. This is a foot bridge that goes up and over the river.

They are both really beautiful areas and people work hard to maintain them.
