Our Trip to Fenway

Michelle did this background for me, too.  She's so creative!

The silver heart was on the garter I wore at our wedding 39 years ago.  Gary found it a couple months ago and I saved it to put on this page.  I don't know how he ended up with it.  His best man is the one who caught the garter.  He must have given it back to Gary.  Anyway, I'm glad he did.

The orange strip is what was put on my purse after it was searched before we entered Fenway Park.

Michelle's Background

Whenever Michelle comes over, she asks if she can play in my journal and I'm always glad to say yes.  She did the backgrounds for both of these pages.

She just turned 13 a month ago.

Good Morning

My husband left at 7 to go tuna fishing and, as soon as I heard the door shut, I got up.  Sometimes, I just have to have alone time.

I haven't been doing much for the last couple of hours but that's okay.  Soon I'll get dressed and hop on my bike to pedal to the beach.

It's a glorious sunny and dry day.  My flowers are so happy to be soaking up the rays.

What's making you happy today?

More Kylie Art

Kylie did these pictures over Memorial Day weekend when she was here at camp with us.  I didn't get around to putting them onto a page until the weekend before school got out and didn't actually even finish this page until just a few days ago.  My bad!

My Mother-in-law's Flowers

We stopped at my MIL's today and I had to take these pictures of her pretty flowers just after it stopped raining.

Red Sox Game

Nathan and Danielle

Our son took us to a Red Sox game yesterday for our 39th anniversary.  It was so much fun!

A Rare Journal Page

I haven't had much time to journal lately but, hopefully, now that school is done for the summer, I'll get back into it.

I had so many stamps hanging around my desk so figured I'd just glue them in randomly.  There are new ones and old ones here.  Some came off postcards of my mom's that I found from back in the 70s.

And you can see that Kylie is still drawing bananas!

Wildflower Walk

I love taking my camera for a walk because I notice so many more things.  I took these pictures of wildflowers growing along the side of the road last night.

New Look

This background seems to work better. I'll try it for awhile.

Planted these impatiens yesterday.  Our campsite is very shady so my choice of flowers is pretty limited.  My sister, Sally, gave me the white ones and I bought the red ones so didn't have to spend too much money.  Yay!

Darn!

I fiddled around with the new blogger templates and, now, I can't figure out how to go back to my original!  I've tried everything!  Except, of course, the right thing!

I like it for Dottie's Birthday because I changed the text to white but, with the dark background, I'd have to go to each post that originally had black text and change them all!  No way am I going to do that for over 500 posts!

I'll keep trying but am getting pretty frustrated!

Dottie's Birthday

We had delicious food: potato and beet salad, cucumber and tomato sandwiches, and, behind the stack of plates, cream cheese with a hot pepper relish.

Exquisite pomegranate martinis with blueberries and blackberries.  Such a treat!

Lots of colorful presents and a lemon cake with crystalized rose petals on top made by Yvonne from her wild rose bushes.

And the birthday girl with her daughter-in-law, Odalis, who is from Panama and who sang a beautiful Spanish song for Dottie and made us all tear up.

Little bits from the cards I got.

Finally!

Here are a few pictures from Memorial Day weekend.  Kylie just loves the monkey bars.

This is Ryan "driving" the golf cart.

It's Back!

Yes, it only took a week!  I'll be back over the weekend to update everything!  I haven't even had time to go through my pictures, yet.
