Bokehlicious

Rode my bike to the beach today.

Everything was so pretty.

Took the two pictures above with my phone then got my big girl camera out to catch some bokeh.

It was a gorgeous day and I wrote the following poem about it.

A million sparkles
on the ocean.

Clear sky.
Can see heaven
and it looks like a beach.
This beach.
Right here.
Right now.

Just a few
dots of people,
a lone fisherman,
white seagulls.

Thoughts squawk
in my head
telling me to move.

I get up,
walk to a piece
of driftwood,
skooch down,
put my camera
in aperture priority,
focus on the wood,
and, abracadabra,
the water turns
into diamonds.

This and That

The Tooth Fairy showed up a day late but, at least, she showed up! It's been many years since I've played that role! The note asked her not to take her tooth because she wanted to show it to her mom.

Beautiful long braids one night.....

Lovely waves the next morning.

First day of second grade and first pair of glasses all on the same day.

I planted some perennials in front of our park model camper. Gary found the buoys floating out on the ocean.

Gloria and Bob (and a silly Kylie) in the sun last weekend.

My yummy breakfast of Swiss cheese, ham, and tomatoes. I'm getting ready to turn on my iPad so I can read while I eat. Two pleasures at once! And what's in the glass you wonder? Coffee, half and half, and Bailey's. Tervis tumblers make great coffee cups because they hold the heat and are nice and big.

There was an article in Globe Magazine about the Conway Scenic Railroad and my beautiful daughter's picture was included!

And, oh, no! Yes, the leaves are beginning to turn. I took this picture as we were driving through Pinkham Notch two days ago. Fall is just around the corner. Yikes!

Eden Update

Hi, Aunt Linda. Hi, Eden!

Look who's smiling!

Mother and child.

Sleeping peacefully in Nana's arms.
