Into the Weekend

I've never done much with stamps but own a few so tried one on this page. I just used a black ink pad but then used purple and green pens to color it.

Hurricane Bill went by offshore and produced some awesome waves, especially on Sunday. This one was taken on Saturday from high up on the slope of the beach so the waves don't really show their height but they were bigger than we usually have around here.

Nathan and Danielle visited and we had a lobster feed Friday night. Our neighbor Donna took this picture. Her husband, Ralph, is in the yellow. Mich, another neighbor, is across from him. I'm next to Ralph and Gary is on my right. Nay and Danielle are across from me. Fun and yummy time!

Lazy, Hazy Days of Summer

I took this picture a couple days ago at Ocean Park Beach in Maine. It was hot and humid and, even though the sky, here, looks clear, it was really quite hazy.

If you enlarge it, you can see the Pier at Old Orchard Beach in the background.

It gets really busy at this time of the year. I had to walk quite a ways down the beach to get to a place that wasn't too crowded.

Inchie Crazy for ABC Wednesday

I bought an inch punch and have been having fun clicking away.

I didn't put much on these two pages because I didn't want to cover too many of the cool squares and also because they were two nice and boring days.

Boring is good! It makes it easier to go back to work.

You can read more "I" things at ABC Wednesday.

A Kylie Weekend

We had such a good time at Old Orchard Beach. Kylie loves riding on the trolley. She and Grampy went on a couple rides. She and I played in the surf, and her M&M ice cream dripped all over her!

ABC Wednesday: F is for Fish

And what a fish!

My husband does tuna fishing in the late summer. He's probably been out 300 times but only gotten a handful of tuna over the 10 years he's been doing this. Yesterday was such a day.

This is his biggest one yet! It weighed 610 lbs and was 100" long. He fought it for about 8 hours.

He's all aching this morning. He said, "I feel like I got run over by a tuna!"

For more "F" things visit ABC Wednesday.

Found Stuff

I had this page pretty much done before leaving for Florida but didn't have time to photograph it.

I tried collaging the background but need more practice to achieve the look I want.

It's fun, though.

When we were cleaning out our storage trailer, Gary found the old Eagle Claw hook and asked if I'd like it for my journal. Of course!

And I have no idea where that Vegetarian button came from but it was in the trailer, too.

I like finding stuff like this!

Morning Moon

I saw this moon yesterday morning just as I was entering the airport in Punta Gorda, Florida.

I wish I'd had time to find a better view without all those telephone wires in the way!

There are more skies to be seen at SkyWatch Friday.

Michelle's Colors

I'm still in Florida caring for my mom but am itching to get back to journaling.

This is the second book I wrote for my niece, Michelle:

Last Evening

Took my camera for a walk and it was just so happy shooting the wonderful sky here on the west coast of Florida.
