The Weekend

I actually started this page before our company arrived and had the collage done. I put it on the right hand side because the pages are flatter and the pictures stay adhered better.

Once the company left I decided to put info about our weekend on the left side.

As you can see by this, everyone had a great time!

Bubblewrap

I've seen backgrounds done with bubblewrap and finally came to long enough to save some from a package that arrived last week. Duh!

These bubbles were kind of soft so the circles aren't clearly defined but I'll be on the lookout for better ones.

Makes me think: what else could I use to make interesting backgrounds? Hmmm...

This Was a Good Day!

This was one of those days that just unravels without any hitches.

A sunny Sunday morning here on the coast of Maine. My husband made breakfast outside: maple bacon and pancakes with pecans and sunflower seeds, and a fruit salad of bananas, plums, oranges, and apples. We have company and we all sat in the sunshine eating it. And this was another good day! (At least so far!)

In Her Aunt's Footsteps

We have company coming for the weekend so it'll be a busy time.

Michelle just loves coming over and checking out my journal. She and a friend have actually started one and they alternate pages.

Saturday's Page

Just sitting here kind of bored on a rainy evening.

Four Days on One Page

As you can see I combined several days together on this page.
I actually had the background done before leaving and I know the blue doesn't really match all that well, but I had enough of it so said what the heck.

Yuck!

Not crazy about this page! I love the Olympic stamp and tried to imitate the red swirls, somewhat. I used Gesso for my background and wouldn't do that again. I don't like the looks of it at all.
Oh, well, I'm learning!

A Beach Page

I can't believe another week has gone by since I did this page! Summer is flying!

I cut words out of a magazine for this one and the kids holding hands were on a letter from my friend in Florida.

My mom and I had a blast at Foxwoods. We won some and we lost some but, at least, we didn't come home broke.

Now, I'll Probably Be a Loser!

My mom and I will be heading to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut for our annual trip. Each summer we try to get there once for an overnight stay. I should be back late Thursday night or Friday morning.
Wish us luck!

I'm a Winner!

Lisa at Simple Journeys had a giveaway for her first blogoversary and I was the lucky winner of this gorgeous arch. The picture doesn't do it justice, believe me! I matted it to help it stand out against the wood-grain walls of our camper and hung it in the living room.

She also included these bonus works and I just love them! She's so talented and creative!

Thank you, Lisa!

I Love Stamps

Just sitting here in the early morning hours of a sunny Sunday.

My friend sent these stamps 10 days in a row!

This page pretty much explains itself. The state stickers are some I've had for years. I didn't have one for American Samoa, though.

Bike Week

We left early and were lucky enough to find a parking place on Weirs Beach where all the vendors are.

I've never seen so many bikes in one place!

It was fun just walking around seeing the sights.

After lunch, we could see thunderclouds building so decided to head home and we were just able to avoid getting wet.

Our 37th Anniversary

I started this page the day before we left for Florida and finished it after we got back.
The fish holding the bouquet of flowers represents my husband bringing me flowers for our anniversary. He's a big fisherman in the summer. (He didn't actually get me any flowers since we were traveling and he's not big on flowers, anyway, but my friend had it in the card she sent.)

Florida Trip

Here are a few pictures of us in Florida with our friends.
The picture on the left is Dorothy. Normally, I call her Dottie, but the way she was sitting on the dock when we went to pick the boat up, begs her full name! She didn't know I was taking it. We both got a kick out of it.

Mother's/Father's Day

This is the last reserve page I have. It was done the weekend before we went to Florida. I have another page started but haven't finished it yet.

My spring cleaning is done but we have company coming this weekend. After they leave on Monday, I'll have crafting time, finally!

Back at Camp

We got back from Florida last night. Great time boating with our friends, Dottie and Stan.
I spent the day today spring cleaning the bedroom and bathroom of our camper. I would much rather have been crafting, that's for sure!
I did this page on the weekend before we left for vacation.
