The Sky Through My iPhone

Saw this pretty sky when I was out for my walk last night.

Can't tell you how glad I am that I bought an iPhone. I don't always have my big girl camera with me and would definitely have missed these photos last night since the sun had already set when I left for my walk and I didn't even think of taking it.

Sunset Walk

I took my camera out for a walk just as the sun was setting tonight.  I had spied some wildflowers growing along the side of the road and wanted to photograph them in the golden light.

I had to crawl around on the ground to get a few of these shots and was hoping no one would drive by.  But it wasn't to be.  I heard a car slow down and looked up.  I smiled and waved at their baffled expression then continued to click away.

Have you done anything embarrassing or silly lately?

Grrrrr.....

I am so not happy with the new Blogger posting window!

Tonight, I tried to edit a post and the whole darn thing disappeared!

I hate change!

Journal Catch-up

Nathan surprised us with an overnight on Gary's birthday.  Here, he took his father's glasses and cap for the picture.

I downloaded an app for my iPad called Photo 365.  Each day I add a picture I took to remind me of what was going on.  I printed out the month of February and glued it onto this page but I know it's hard to see the individual pics.  Cool on the iPad, though.

We bought a boat when we got down here but found out it was just too small for the choppy harbor.  So, we got a bigger one.  So much better!

When my friend, Anne, came down to visit, she brought these vintage photos from 1972 and 1973.

Michelle is turning into such a beautiful young lady!
That's a real shell.  Love the coral color.

Erin...gorgeous in any decade!

Anne's daughter, Leah, entered a contest sponsored by the college where she works.  They had to come up with a quote showing diversity.  She is one of the three finalists!

"Life is not 'one size fits all.'  Don't let the fear of others squeeze you into a smaller-sized life."

She is so wise!

Fun

We've been busy for the last few days. Our friend, Stan, is visiting and we've been doing a lot of boating.

Last evening when we got back, we went to a restaurant/bar called The Celtic Ray to listen to my brother-in-law play guitar and sing for happy hour.

He has the most beautiful tone to his voice and serenaded us with many old favorites. Lots of foot tapping, humming, and laughter.

My niece, Michelle, gets prettier and prettier every time I see her.

So much fun getting together!

Kylie

Last night Kylie ran over to pet a dog she thought she was friends with but it attacked her, instead!

Here she is still sleeping off the anesthesia after the doctor stitched her up. Can't believe how close she came to losing an eye!

She's doing much better today at home. I spoke with her on the phone and she was her old silly self.

She told her mom last night when she saw all the blood, "Well, I'm glad I lost all this blood because it's spring and now the mosquitoes won't be able to get as much out of me."

Today, she was all smiles, again. Phew! Love that little kiddo!
