Pause

I'm working on the next installment of my Italy trip but it's taking a while because it's the day we went to the ocean and I took a ton of pictures. Now, I'm going through them, editing, and choosing. I'll have it ready soon but thought I'd share a few photos from last week.

First, my son caught his first tuna by himself in his own boat. Here he is with his buddy who was in the boat with him.

Erin and Kylie were here and got to see it although, they were not too excited about touching it.

My father-in-law's childhood friend came for a visit. They had quite a time reminiscing.

I took Kylie for her first professional mani/pedi. She chose this sparkly silver polish.

She did lots of swimming and bug catching.

We were walking back from the pool and she said, "I'm glad I learned how to swim."

I replied, "Well, you were lucky to take swimming lessons this summer."

"No," she said. "All they did was teach us to float on our back. I taught myself. All I had to do is stop thinking and just do it!"

On Saturday she and I went up to visit my friend, Regina, and take a walk in her woods. Here she is with Gina's cat.

And, here, she's feeling the wonderful lichen and mosses growing in the woods.

Gina and Kylie looking for magical fairies.

And then it was time for her first day of first grade. Erin took this picture. Kylie looks so grown up here. Love the welcoming look on her teacher's face!

Now, I'm going back to post processing my Italy photos!

I so love all of these pictures. Kylie's nail polish is exactly like something I would choose. Love the cat pix, of course! Magic fairies!!! I have loads of them in my yard. First day of first grade!!! And good times were had by all.
