A Good Week

I've been slow to journal this week after the April marathon.

I had a good week, though. On Thursday I took a professional day and attended the annual Librarian's conference as a guest of our school media specialist. The author of a couple books I teach my tenth graders was the luncheon speaker and she was so entertaining.

Her name is Susan Beth Pfeffer and she wrote Life As We Knew It and the dead & the gone. If you are looking for a couple of really good reads, pick these books up; you won't be disappointed. They are young adult novels but I can't tell you how many adults love them. They are the types of books that just stay with you.

Anyway, it was a treat to have a day off in the middle of the week. It felt so good to not be tired when I got home. I went to Milan and bought all my flowers for the cemeteries, the house in Berlin, and camp. I even did three loads of laundry.

And the icing on the cake? My husband went to camp on Thursday so I had the bed to myself for one night! Oh, did I sleep well!

Happy Mother's Day!

I was disappointed that
Allison was kicked off.
I couldn't believe it
when it was announced.

I don't really like Adams
type of music but I do like
his voice.

I like Dannys voice too.

Congrats on your win!

On won a Joyce Meyer DVD.
One of her DVD's. She writes
books too.

I'll have to check out those
books you mentioned.

Great pages! I like the
yellow background.

May the Good Lord Bless and
Keep You in His Loving Care!!!

Those middle of the week breaks from work are really nice, aren't they? Oh, to have the bed to myself would be heaven. I don't have a husband, but my two dogs snuggle up behind my knees and at my back. Makes it hard to roll over! Thanks for your visit yesterday and kind words!
