Back Up North

We left Florida on Sunday and flew to Manchester, NH where our son picked us up and drove us to his home. We stayed there overnight. He and his girlfriend, Danielle, grilled kabobs for us. Delicious supper on the deck in the sunset!

On Monday we drove to Maine and opened up our new park model. We bought it last fall and didn't really have a chance to live in it much before heading to Florida for the winter.

Before even settling in, we had to go to Berlin, our old home town, to pick up the boat and a couple vehicles. We did that Tuesday. I was able to get a hair cut from my long-time hairdresser, Emily. It was so nice to get caught up with her. I used to color my hair every three weeks so going a whole winter without talking to her was really different. I'm so glad I'm not bothering with dye anymore but I did miss her.

Then, the best part of the day was meeting up with Erin and Kylie. We went for supper at the Red Parka Pub and it was so nice to sit next to Kylie and giggle with her.

And, yesterday, I finally made it to the beach! It was misty at the time so I didn't stay very long but managed to breathe in all that briny goodness. Nice knowing it will be there all summer.

We had a great winter in Florida but this is home!

Your life is beautiful! I really mean that. What a wonderful way to spend a year, part in Florida, part in the NorthEast. I bet your stylist loved your platinum! It is so pretty. Kylie is growing and as always is precious!
