I teach an elective class called Nature Journaling. Most days we head outside for a walk until we find a good place to sit and sketch and journal.

A cool weed
Today, their assignment was to find some color in the boring winter. Here are some sumac seeds hibernating.
Veronica, Kayleen, Cassandana, and Alicia (love those cool names!) hard at work. It was so warm today, about 50 degrees and we could have sat here for hours.

I could have sat there for hours too. I love nature. Plus, I love being around kids that age. They are a lot of fun.
