Weekend Mailbox

Gemma of Greyscale Territory has started a new meme called Weekend Mailbox.  Anything having to do with mail is accepted.
This is my great uncle's old trunk.  It's filled with letters from my friend, Anne, who lives in Florida.  We correspond several time a week and I've never thrown any of her letters away.

That looks like a lot of letters; there is lots of room for more though.

Hi,
I just want to tell you that I like your blog, it's incredibly inspiring.
I would also like to leave a footprint after me & Sweden, and will welcome you to my blog.

hi Linda, thanks for the kind comment you left for my mailbox entry. I visited some of your other blogs before finding this picture and I must confess I'm so impressed with your reading goals for 2010! I'm really struggling with my humble goal of reading a book a month. Anyway, love your photo here with the letters inside your great uncle's old trunk, it looks like a treasure chest... the right place to keep letters from a good friend.

What a lovely collection - the memories there must be in there - quite wonderful :-)

Do you really just toss them in the trunk? If you bundled them, you'd have room for many more! :-)
