I so enjoyed going to An Evening with Naomi Shihab Nye. She's a wonderful speaker and the hour and a half flew by. It was worth the 2 hour drive to go see her.
I like what she says about it is hard to be lonely in a world of words. That thought is somewhat Dickinsonian. He said something similar in 'A Christmas Carol'...is Ali Babba or Robinson Crusoe not real? or something to that effect.
