30 Poems in 30 Days?

That's the NaPoWriMo challenge. April is National Poetry Month and I gave this assignment to my Poetry-Writing students. I always do the assignments with them and decided to keep mine in my daily journal.

As a help, ReadWritePoem is posting daily prompts. On the first day we had to use a metaphor.

I tried this challenge last year and found it very difficult and swore I'd never do it again, but...I'm just a glutton for punishment, I guess!

Your suppose to count sheep
and have a sweet sleep!

I've prayed for a sweet sleep
and it worked when I've had a
hard time going to sleep.

On the count of fish, they are delish in dish but, I wouldn't sleep with one swimming around in my head, cause they are grayish, have lots of scales and slippery, plus they do smell a bit fishy don't you think? LOL!

God Bless You and Yours and
Your Creative Life and Health
and Sleep!!!
