Two Years!

Today is my two-year Blogaversary! Can't believe it's been that long! Like they say, "Time flies when you're having fun." And this has been fun!

Being Oreo

Twelve years ago I wrote a bunch of children's books for my niece, Michelle. I asked if I could borrow the books to photograph the pages and this first one is now on my Flick'r site. You can see it here.

I used stickers to illustrate the story because I can't draw worth beans.

A Crazy Week

I put on a lot of miles this week getting my mom to Foxwoods and onto a flight back to Florida.

She has a compression fracture in her spine and couldn't deal with the stairs up here so decided that it would be better for her to be back in her condo where everything is on the same level.

My Husband, the Writer

My mother-in-law found this essay that my husband wrote when he was twelve. Love it!

I bought those Glaze pens thinking they were white pens! I tried them on this page and, basically, they just add a clear glaze to what is already written. Luckily, they weren't too expensive!

A May Evening at Camp

The trees are enormous here at our campground so I really can't see much of the sky but this purply pink was just beautiful behind the silhouette of the trees.

Mid Week

I used blue painter's tape, painted around it, then pulled it off and painted the blank areas black.

Sunday

Had a busy morning yesterday moving the shed into position and then helping our neighbors figure out how to set up their tent.

My afternoon, however, was "me" time. I got to read and craft and watch the Red Sox win.

It was just a nice day.

It Finally Feels Like Summer

After two days of rain during the week, we finally have some nice weather.

Now, I feel like I'm on vacation!

My 12-year-old niece, Michelle, and my 3-year-old granddaughter, Kylie, collaborated on this page.

I added the picture, the white words, and the words on the note paper.

A Quick Visit from Nay

Nathan had to fly his boss to Portsmouth so decided to stay with us overnight. I hadn't seen him for 2 months so this was a nice treat!

Another Florida Sunset

I took this one from inside our screened porch. I'm surprised it came out so clear.

Our house is on stilts and I could have gone downstairs, but the angle would have been wrong. So, I took a chance through the screen.
