I've been slow to journal this week after the April marathon.
I had a good week, though. On Thursday I took a professional day and attended the annual Librarian's conference as a guest of our school media specialist. The author of a couple books I teach my tenth graders was the luncheon speaker and she was so entertaining.
Her name is Susan Beth Pfeffer and she wrote Life As We Knew It and the dead & the gone. If you are looking for a couple of really good reads, pick these books up; you won't be disappointed. They are young adult novels but I can't tell you how many adults love them. They are the types of books that just stay with you.
Anyway, it was a treat to have a day off in the middle of the week. It felt so good to not be tired when I got home. I went to Milan and bought all my flowers for the cemeteries, the house in Berlin, and camp. I even did three loads of laundry.
And the icing on the cake? My husband went to camp on Thursday so I had the bed to myself for one night! Oh, did I sleep well!
