Keene, NH

I took this picture about a month ago when we were visiting our son in Keene.

There was so much going on with the sky and the wind was blowing the flags and it was just beautiful.

Visit Skywatch Friday to see more awesome skies.

Lady Slipper

The people across the street at our campground have this Lady Slipper growing behind their shed.

You don't see these very often.

Layers

My mechanic returned my vehicle the other night and while we stood on the back porch discussing it, I could see this sky getting prettier and prettier.

As soon as he left, I ran upstairs to get above the telephone wires and took this picture.

Check out more skies at

Nancy's Quilt

My sister makes the most beautiful quilts. This is one that my mother-in-law started years ago but didn't get very far with so Nancy finished it for her and added the shams, pillow, and bed skirt.

If you click on the link, it will take you to her husband's music site. Just click on "Nancy's Page" to see her quilts.

Come on Baby, Light My Fire

My husband and I are total opposites but, one thing I know, is that he's my biggest supporter and always has my back.

We have our own interests and while he's fishing or putting a motorcycle together, I'm able to write poetry or go to the beach or do any of the things I enjoy.

This week he's at camp and every night he calls to make sure I'm in for the evening and that the doors are locked.

Sure, sometimes he drives me crazy but the fires are still burning!

Pennant: Tropical Island Breeze

These pennants were so much fun to make last summer. This one is by Barbara Hagerty. I figured I'd put them in my journal so I'll know where they are and can look at them whenever I want to. More to follow!

Purple People Eater

Okay, I have no idea why I titled this post that but it just popped into my head.

It was so nice to have the week to myself.
